Tencent’s WeChat Has 40 Million Overseas Users

Tencent’s President Martin Lau revealed at Boao Forum for Asia 2013 that WeChat now has over 40 million users overseas, out of a total 300 million users. Compared to its competitors KakaoTalk and Line, which have 70 million and 120 million users respectively, WeChat has expanded its market into SEA countries such as Indonesia, and Malaysia as well.
