After graduating university, Dean traveled to Sicily and thoroughly enjoyed eating pizza, pasta, risotto and gelato on a daily basis. He also completed an internship in business development with a boutique tourism consultancy and discovered that doing business in Sicilian is vastly different than doing business in Italian, or anywhere else for that matter.
Dean was then imported by the Japanese federal government to work in Japan’s beautiful countryside as an Assistant Language Teacher as part of the JET Programme. After two years, Dean moved in 2007 to Tokyo to join PRAP Japan, Japan’s largest independent PR agency and part of the Ogilvy Group.
At PRAP, Dean supervises international media relations and manages international accounts in PRAP’s financial communications group. Dean is a also a member of PRAP’s fledgling, but rapidly growing Digital Influence team. He is excited to be in Japan, the world’s top Twitter market!
Dean graduated from The Haskayne School of Business at The University of Calgary with a Bachelors of Commerce degree in International Business.
